Hakomi Therapy
Hakomi Therapy is a way of discovering “who am I” on all these different levels. It is a mindful, body-centred form of talk therapy, that is grounded in the principles of mindfulness, non-violence, unity, organicity and mind-body holism. It’s purpose is self-study, particularly in relationships, patterns of behaviour/thinking and all-round stuckness.
It is a form of therapy that enables the client to be seen, heard, and accepted just as they are, with compassion and generosity of heart. It also recognises that we are part of larger systems that have an effect on us as individuals. It enables the client and therapist to unite on a journey of self-discovery, in which self-study can provide new information which in turn can open the door to different ways of being and relating to ourselves, others and the world.
I am currently a Graduate of Hakomi, which means I am in the “intern phase” of my training whilst I work toward certification. My level of experience, qualifications and phase of learning I am in is reflected in the price for this modality.
It is a whole-hearted space to explore. I welcome to you to come try it out.
